Christy M, SLP
Christy received her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Gonzaga University where she found her enthusiasm for language and communication. She then went on to complete her Masters in Teaching K-12 with an English for Second Languages (ESOL) endorsement from Lewis & Clark College, Bachelor in Communication Sciences from Portland State University and Masters in Speech Language Pathology from Syracuse University.
Christy has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association, and is licensed as a speech language pathologist and teacher in Oregon and New York. Christy worked in public and private schools (preschool - 12K) since 2012, and joined New Horizons in 2020. She is passionate about helping clients with autism spectrum disorders, language disorders, and speech disorders. Christy enjoys collaborating with multi-disciplinarian teams including the client, family, school team, medical professionals, and communities to bring about optimal therapy results for clients.
Christy is an Oregon native and enjoys hiking, traveling and exploring new cultures, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
