Jodi earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Washington. She went on to pursue her Master of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Portland State University. Her particular areas of interest are autism, the language-to-literacy connection, and supports for augmentative-alternative communication.

Jodi lives with her partner, Jon, in a floating home community on the Columbia River. When not boating or kayaking, she enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and cheering on her beloved football teams.
